Types of Human muscle tissues | skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscles

attached to the bone by means of tendons

There are three general types of muscle tissues:

  • Skeletal muscle responsible for movement
  • Cardiac muscle responsible for pumping blood
  • Smooth muscle responsible for sustained contractions in the blood vessels, gastrointestinal tract, and other areas in the body

Skeletal and cardiac muscles are called striated muscle because of their striped appearance under a microscope, which is due to the highly organized alternating pattern of A band and I band.

Heart muscles - Cardiac Muscle - Myocardium

Muscles have tendency to contract and relax.. Muscles are responsible for every movement of the body... it becomes smaller when contracts and larger when relaxes.

is made up of Cardiac Muscles.

There are three types of muscles. Skeletal muscle cells, smooth Muscle cells and Cardiac Muscle cells.

Dilated cardiomyopathy - Heart muscle disease

Dilated cardiomyopathy is a heart muscle disease in which heart becomes weak and enlarge and can not pump blood efficiently. Dilated Cardiomyopathy is abbreviated as DCM.

Dilated Cardiomyopathy can effect the Lungs, Liver and other systems of the body.

Dilated Cardiomyopathy is a group of diseases that effects the heart muscles (Myocardium). Different cardiomyopathies have different causes and effect different parts of the body..

As the name of the disease tells that in this disease a part of the myo-cardium (myo-Muscles, cardium-heart) is dilated..

Dilated cardiomyopathy is the most common form of the non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. it is more common in men then women..and between the age of 20-60 years..Dilated cardiomyopathy also occurs in children. About one in three cause of Congestive Heart Failure is Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

Left Coronary artery | arteries of the heart

The left coronary artery (LCA) arises from the aorta above the left cusp of the aortic valve. it is also known as the left main coronary artery (LMCA).

Right Coronary artery | arteries of the heart

in the above diagram label number 2 is right coronary
artery, these arteries supply blood and oxygen to the
heart muscles

Arteries of the heart

like other Organs and muscles, muscles of heart also need blood and oxygen to survive. the arteries that supplies blood to the heart muscles are called as coronary arteries. these are of two types. Right coronary artery and left coronary artery.
